October 7th, 2009 @ 10:57 pm

October 8th, 2009 @ 6:05 am
Fantastic work and some very worthy winners there!

This is really impressive. Great year for design. I only wish I could see them in person without spending over 10 grand to purchase them all.

It ‘s just me as Joan Behar would say, but the image by Pent awards is
strangely disturbing. Depending on what you like to visualize of course.
I’m confused. But that’s nothing new either.
October 9th, 2009 @ 6:25 pm
truely spectacular
October 10th, 2009 @ 2:58 am
Well… so many of these designs are similar to each other. I feel that good package design should be more innovative and less trendy.
Don’t get me wrong, many of these are simply beautiful (12 inches is a great idea btw) but I do feel that there is a degree of ingenuity missing within all of these designs.

This is a fun list! I like the Kleenex boxes. So simple and no one has thought of it before.
October 10th, 2009 @ 9:23 am
Love these! Weird but interesting use of wedge fruits for tissue boxes. I love to look at them but not so sure I would be inclined to use the tissues. Sexy bottles, however.
October 10th, 2009 @ 5:25 pm
The kleenex were good but all had merit.
October 10th, 2009 @ 11:26 pm
Finally, someone who agrees with me on Death Magnetic! I pretty much had a design-gasm when I first saw the cover.
Amazing list. Saved to my inspirations folder, for sure.

I guess if we’re going to destroy our environment with gratuitous packaging we might as well make the packages look nice!

Great stuff. Bookmarked!
October 15th, 2009 @ 3:22 am
Amazing designs. Wow…
October 15th, 2009 @ 9:57 am
Come the time, when we don’t have to pay a fortune to ad-men for a product that should speak for it’s self, & their cost added to the product. We will be better off. Iff all ad-men left the planet would we be worse off?
October 16th, 2009 @ 8:45 pm

October 17th, 2009 @ 8:49 am

October 24th, 2009 @ 9:47 am
can anyone tell me why the colgate wisps deserved an award in here, that was the most standard packaging i’ve ever seen from a toothbrush/care product. Other than that, these are all amazing packaging.

Some clever eye catching designs but it would be nice if as much effort was put into minimising packaging and/or making it biodegradable or more readily recyclable.

The booze bottles are great as usual, but my favorite is this one – kampyo is a sort of gourd, the shavings of which are dried and then reconstituted before being eaten.
February 28th, 2012 @ 9:57 pm
The Kleenex packaging especially interesting.
