Hi.How is the numbering done on the capsule?

Hi John,
The sequential bottle numbering is printed onto an adhesive label, which is then applied by hand to a matt black “Stelvin Lux” capsule. The main labels (front and back) are applied on an automated bottling line.
Stelvin Lux capsules are fairly new – they have fewer ridges and recesses than the standard screw caps that most wineries use. This provides a much smoother surface on which to apply an adhesive label.
Most label printers can do sequential bottle numbering. It can be done on a ribbon-fed “Zebra” numbering machine, or on newer roll-fed versions of the HP Indigo digital press.
