Midori

Designed by Nik and Carole | Country: United Kingdom
“Expertly crafted from layers of luxurious damascus steel, this super premium range had to appeal to chefs and home cooks who take their cooking uber seriously. Midori, the Japanese word for green reflects the subtle tints of colour in the micarta handle and we commissioned an elegant wooden case, the traditional way to present something of such value.”

A very eye-pleasing design, great approach! Makes it look like a sword.

I thought the design to be elegant and befits a quality product such as this. To state “I don’t like this package design” is a lazy comment. Why? Stating it was wasteful in my opinion, is unjust. The product will be kept for years and given the safety implications housing it, a robust wooden case is a great idea.

Why is the Chinese character for midori written sideways on the label?
