Have to disagree; for me, this really doesn’t work. You can’t shake that tacky wine-in-a-box image, and the aquarelle illustrations (although beautiful in their own way) makes the wine feel like a children’s toy. Especially when coupled with the ‘My World’ name reminiscent of so many children’s toys (My Little Pony, My First Kitchen/Puppy/Tool Kit etc). It looks like, of all the incongruous ideas, wine for kids!

I am currently working on a bag-in-box wine packaging solution myself. Though I have a great deal of experience in the wine packaging field, the box is new for me. I was surprised by one of the stipulations insisted upon by my client’s buyer. The design must feature a visual reference to wine whether it be a glass or pour shot. I don’t like the constraint. My ideas would be better designs without it. Yet when I first saw the box above, I had to wonder what it contained.
