“Mills & Co is a higher-end, organic nut butter line proposed to be sold in DC restaurant Founding Farmers. Unfortunately the project never got to the production stage. The above rendering is a self-initiated concept of where I would have liked the packaging to go, just very simple and super clean.”

I am all for this packaging! Sad to hear it won’t be produced…

Sadly, the peanut nut is not that shape.

Whilst I like and appreciate the design, I can’t help but point out that it looks remarkably similar to some of the UK supermarket Waitrose’s mustard jars. In fact, I actually think the Waitrose designs are better.
See for yourself here:

I am very into this minimalist design, though I do have to agree it looks very similar to the Waitrose packaging. I appreciate the textured coloured edge you put around the cutout, however the colour of nut butters can vary slightly batch to batch, so this wouldn’t always be stylised, not to mention peanut butter is more the colour of the almond butter you have shown above, and almond butter is a darker brown (if made with skins on, which most are as they are roasted), so the colours should be swapped. Overall really keen on good packaging design and this is a nice one.
