The idea of the musical note is very nice, although the other link is quite similar, and the overall case in crystal acrilic, is almost identical to apple’s Magic Mouse case. here is a link – http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffk/4082678947/

This is absolutly brilliant. Clean, simple and clear. A great idea and a great end result, I really hope to find this one here soon! I will probably buy it just for it’s packaging.

Brilliant!

Great package. Trouble is, you’d have to buy two, so that you could keep one intact.

Looks great, but they had to have swiped this idea from Corinne…
I’d like to know which came first.
July 27th, 2010 @ 5:23 pm

Corinne! I hope you’re getting credit for this somehow!
August 15th, 2010 @ 2:45 pm
Panasonic came up with this idea and was released last year, way before Corinne’s original post on Packaging UQAM.
Corinne should get credit FOR NOTHING…. perhaps plagiarism.

Panasonic released the headphones in June 2010. The student’s project was published online in April 2010.
The Panasonic packaging won at the ADC in Germany, and the results were published in early May. It seems at best like an unfortunate coincidence.

The Panasonic must be the original, it was already released in 2009 and then between May and June 2010 it became awarded at several design award shows (ADC Germany, D&AD and even at the Cannes Lions Festival). Therefor Panasonic could not have swipted that idea from a Student Work, that was published in april 2010 – after all it takes its time to design, produce and publish electronic devices over several months.
