“The brief was to create packaging for sardines coming in 3 different varieties: sardines in tomato sauce, in olive oil and spring water. We wanted the look to be very minimal, modern and recognizable as one family of products – which was the main goal.”

Cute, but… is that Times New Roman?

There is something about sardines… they are always in such amazing packaging. I had the pleasure of receiving some authentically “Breton” sardines for Xmas, and the packaging is just to die for. And as they are like wine- better with age- something with a modern twist is so fun to come across later.
These are so pretty!

These are lovely – they would make me buy sardines, which is something I don’t normally do.
The circles push the eye to the boat where the beautifully simple line-caught message is unavoidable.
Good work.

This design is fantastic. I love it! too pretty to crack open though! agree totally with andi’s comment – the boat draws the eye to the line. Love it.

Nice design. Unlike Paulig Coffee, “Sardines” is written and is big enough not to miss. There is the boat, and the fish scale/circles. And even if the design makes no sense, the form of the can is a standard sardines can.
