scanwood

Designed by Goodmorning Technology | Country: Denmark

“Scanwood is Denmark’s largest manufacturer of wooden kitchen appliances, selling their products in Denmark as well as the rest of Europe and the Middle East.

Scanwood’s CEO wanted to change the packaging to communicate the fact that their products are made through an environmentally friendly process and are of course also made from all natural materials.

The story is now visible and understandable across all different markets and languages in a cool and appealing way. Giving the consumer an added experience when seeing the package and emphasizing nature by implying that the product almost grows straight out of the ground. This is combined with a new identity matching the product and the payoff: Designed in Denmark, made by Nature.”

very good looking, however its a drag they’re using a plastic/elastic band to hold the utensil to the card. hardly sustainable.

Bought a stylish Scanwood spatula with silicon ‘blade’ the other day. The package declares “Only cooking utensils made from European woods are guaranteed to be chemical free…”
How am I to interpret this statement? Does Scanwood thereby guarantee that my spatula is made of wood grown in Europe? The package doesn’t specifically say so. Looks like bamboo to me. Grown outside Europe?
