Student Work – Corinne Pant

“Choosing plastic wrap for non-perishable items is often a choice that is unjustifiable for the real needs of the product. To address this problem, Corinne Pant looked at the real needs of electronic parts packaging. In a poetic and very functional gesture, it shows us once again that “less is more”.”

Beautiful and simple! I love this. It’s very pretty and very clever! It sings!!
However…I used to work in a retail store. This would be an easy target for shoplifters if not carefully watched by instore employees. : (
I would love to see a reduction in excessive plastic packaging. Perhaps some day. : )

Fantastic in its elegant simplicity! When placed beside other earphone brands, I would immediately be drawn to this packaging.

agree with pamela, you could do some kind a security thing on the back. so if they try to take it off be package it won’t succeed.

Same idea just won at ADC-Germany.
But still nice.

Wow. An inspired piece of work. I understand the security implications, voiced by other commentees, but I’m sure this could be addressed without ruining a great design solution.

Really nice work!

@Amadeus – Personally, I like this design even more than the one you linked to. This one has a much softer look, and I especially enjoy the subtle implementation of a musical staff, which the other one lacks.

That’s just brilliant.
Agreed on the anti-theft problem though. Large chain retailers like Target will return as defective any packaging that even gets ripped. Viva le clamshell.

Great idea! And beautifully done!

Awesome, really nice idea.
I would want some kind of plastic over the ear pieces though, for hygiene more then anything. Plus it’d keep the dust off them!
I’d love to see this idea translated into some kind of re-usable headphone case style packaging. Would solve a few of the problems people have mentioned.
Regardless of that criticism though, love it.
