“This is the packaging design and re branding for the Mug Pub. Mug is a big chain of football pubs based in Moscow. This pub brews its own beer. It is a new concept for take away beer. Beer is filled into paper cups and a special sticker is put on the top for each to identify the different beers. The new cup combines the form of the traditional beer pint with the sustainability of recyclable paper cups.”

It looks good, but I don’t know if people are going to drink beer from paper cups…

I agree with Marcelo. Maybe recyclable plastic cups as many sport bars have, but the paper? Pretty sure the paper would more than likely change the flavor of beer in not so good ways.

as a moscow resident I was very surprised to see a design for “a big chain of football pubs” that I’ve never heard of… not to mention a russian design with all product information (including name, measurements, address, etc) written in english (which is against regulaions). alas, I’m afraid that it’s a concept. that’s not to say it’s a bad one (it’s actually quite good), but it’s just that I’m rather tired of seeing russian designers making stuff up instead of actually trying to do something close to life. everything looks neat in nice latin letters, try working with cyrillics and achieve the same result — that’s a whole different story…

this looks nice, BUT
form follows function – who wants his beer in a fucking cardboard cup – tastes ugly and gets warm in no time- also
the design looks like some kind of natural organic tea thing
