“Packaging¬†design for a fictional brand of Sake that I came up with that some will recognize as the name of a certain blade covered villain in a popular cartoon about a certain team of adolescent, martial-arts practicing reptiles.

The design is inspired by Japanese calligraphy and zen ideals.”

I had to read it out loud to get the name, and then I laughed for a good 5 minutes. I’d buy a bottle of Oroku Sake!

It is Chinese characters, and wine. Calligraphy is ancient Chinese traditional culture and art, see this originality is from Japan calligraphy, I was very surprised. Japanese calligraphy is from China.
