“Village is a project that was developed in the Graphic Design course at IPCA (Intituto Politécnico do Cávado and Ave) in Portugal, directed by teacher Jorge Pereira.

Village is the gourmet range/brand/variety of Oliveira da Serra’s olive oil. With three types that combine the best extra virgin olive oil with different flavors like Chili, Onion and Mint.

All development of packaging was based on the traditional roots of this product, with special attention to the use of organic production. The organic concept is also represented on the labels from all the three illustrated flavors.”

Awesome FLAVORS, but the top lid cover is alien to the whole design, containing a frame and a non-relating shape. You’d think having flavored olive oil would produce a bit more edgy design.

Beautiful and perfect! I disagree with mister Adcock’s comment – in my opinion it is already very “edgy” having in mind the design is still supposed to look traditional, although a bit modern. Besides, the fact that it is flavoured does not mean it can’t look traditional. It’s a Portuguese product after all, where Olive Oil production is deeply rooted in the tradition. I see no fault in this product design at all. Congratulations to the designer !
