A packaging concept for HB pencils which doubles as a container and is intended to be displayed on ones’ desk. Considering art and design supplies are largely geared towards creative people it is constantly surprising how dreadful their packaging solutions can be. We’d love to see more of this sort of simple, functional design hitting art store shelves in the future. To solve the problem of mandatory labeling, removable cardboard sleeves could be employed.

What is so special about these pencils that requires such extravagant packaging? It looks as though more material is being used to make the box than the pencils themselves which will end up accomplishing nothing more than satisfying the vanity of the user. The pencil is a tool, nothing more. If we consider sustainability, consumable products need to be packaged as simply and efficiently as possible.

It’s nice, but unfortunately it doesn’t work for me. When I sketch and draw with HB pencils, my hands are constantly dirty from the lead. The white box and the pencils aren’t going to be a white for long.

With a package like this one, you can sell 1 dollar pencils in 50 dollars :)
great job although I agree with Sally about the white color and dirt problem
