Why is it so large? My survival sewing kit fits inside a plastic cigar tube and contains materials for sewing canvas, leather, as well as regular clothing cloth.

As a former Scout and Scout leader, I’m familiar with the stuff the BSA sells to the boys and adults. Ms. Caswell may not have intended trying to actually market this, but I think she may have designed a winning niche product.

Do you have plans to sell this? Otherwise, do you have the plans to sew this?

Hi,
That’s fantastic. I’m an Eagle scout and my family has participated in Scouting for 30+ years. My mother is a Scouting store manager and a former seamstress. Please reply w/some contact info if you wouldn’t mind sharing the details on constructing this. I’d have a few months to figure it out before her birthday.
thanks,
James

Great stuff! I’d love to have one exactly like this one to replace my old travel sewing kit 😉

That is extremely well-done. I would love to have one. I must agree with the earlier poster that the “official” sewing kit is JUNK.

OMG this is so so great! I love it so so much. I would love to have pattern for this. This is one of the best things I have ever seen!

Want one.

I would buy this, or even a pattern or kit to make my own. I have 3 scouts, and I would love to have one for each boy!

As a scout leader with two boys in scouts I have to say that I love this! Please let me know if it ever becomes real!
