“The goal of this project is to redesign wine labels for the Napa Valley Collection of JAQK Cellars – a new wine company in the Bay Area, California. JAQK Cellars wines are known for their beautiful and simplistic illustrations of their labels. However, the visual approach for this project focuses more on typography. Simple yet elegant type treatment is the focal point of each label. They maintain the high class look of the brand and also help customers find the type of wines they’re looking for at a glance.”

    LOVE.
Sometimes just playing around with typography yields the best results.

Why would any professor suggest redesigning JAQK?!? Their labels are some of the best in the business. At least pick a brand that actually needs improving.

That said, these would look nice for an entry level brand trying to get youth appeal.

Now, back to redesigning that Apple logo…

I believe that as a student it’s perfectly ok to redesign any sacred cow – but it puts it up to you to do it well.

    And, that’s been accomplished here.

I agree it would make good entry level branding.

    Good work!

love the front panels and typography, although i do believe the manner in which we are supposed to read it, left, right, top, bottom has been violated a few places, forced to read from a lower level back to top.

I just wish the back labels were handled as elegantly as the fronts were
