“After almost a decade of stickered coffee bags, Stumptown’s founder Duane Sorensen decided they needed something new. He had a bag with a slit in the front and wanted a way to display a ton of information about growers, farms, flavors, and more. The result was to make colour-coded cards for each region, with latitude/longitude locations, elevations, descriptions and certifications.”

It’s so good and lovely that I want to drink coffee right now. 😀 I love the colour pallet.

Hooray for Portland, Stumptown Coffee and OMFGCO! Their site and work is definitely worth checking out, the missing link is here:

i wish we could see how this looks from behind and inside. is there a film layer protecting the coffee or something like that? some organic sugar producers once said they had a kraft paper package, but they had to change since it wasn’t good enough to protect the product.

Hello! I’m a Stumptown barista so I thought I’d answer your questions! Yes the inside of the package is lined with a plastic film. The opening has a metal band on one side that extrudes out so that when you fold the top down, you can bend these around the bag to keep it folded and airtight.

I hope this answers your query!
