“Our latest wine branding project, Te Pa for Montford wines. A Blenheim winemaker with a rich history. Based at the Wairau Bar, the oldest inhabited piece of land in Aotearoa, the ancestors of the McDonald family have lived on this land since 1350. The branding captures this rich history a well as their love of the land and the life it provides. The first piece of material to be rolled out are the wine labels, with website and photography to come. If you look closely you can see the stories from the land captured in the typographic map, which is overglossed on the label.”

Nice work, would like to see a close up of the embossed text.

Beautiful piece of work. The historical elements really enhance the brand value. Excellent attention to detail. This label would definitely influence me to buy this wine. I think it will also last longer on the market than many flash in the pan competitors.

The label has a cut away shape to represent the prow of a māori canoe or ‘waka’.
It’s related to the entire brand backstory; ‘Home for 800 years’. The site te Pā grow’s their grapes on is thought to be one of the landing sites for original māori settlers in New Zealand some 800 years ago.
