Designed by Eduardo del Fraile | Country: Spain
“This bottle was designed to honor Agapito Rico, an important figure in the DO of Jumilla Spain. He was a pioneer in achieving quality wines in this region. The grape that is grown in this land is the Monastrell, a strong flavored grape suitable for arid areas. Agapito is an expert in cultivating wine and the purity expressed by the bottle echoes his quality as a wine maker.”

Not very practical. I can just see pouring some in your glass and getting all kinds of dirt with it. Yuk.

I actually didn’t think that this was actually dirt. I assumed it was glass or some other material molded into realistic-looking shapes.

Not sure about it either, makes me feel slightly ill when I look at it.

It looks like a scab

Interesting use of texture however probably not that practical least of all in the manufacture of high quantities.

Though beautifully organic, this would never make it onto the market in its current state – there are regulations (quantity, type of wine, etc) that must be on the front of the bottle.
And I agree with am, not practical.

Wow, how strange & interesting. Is that real dirt?
Even if it’s not useful, it’s still interesting as a conceptual project. Not all graphic design needs to have a function. We are free to be self-indulgent!

I guess this bottle is in glass? Of course, since that is the best type of packaging to preserve your drinks…
