Thanks to designer Dan Gneiding for sending us this simple packaging solution he created for Urban Outfitters hosiery.
“This box solution allows for the tights to be hung as well as displayed stacked on a table. The old plastic bag package could only be hung. In addition to the merchandising versatility we added a color coded system to make them easier to shop.”

For a commercial design I am impressed by this. It does not flaunt simplicity like American Apparel but acts as a clean solution while still holding a standard of sophistication.

Earthy-chic, I’d say. :]

I like the packaging… even saw it in stores. But the problem I had, was they fell down continuously while you were looking through the racks. Veeeery annoying. And as a customer, I had no idea the colors meant anything, and no idea what they could mean.
But they look nice!

I really like this. I just wish the hierarchy of the description was called out more. Nothing more frustrating that grabbing footless and shiny when you want footed and opaque!
