“Robert Page has had the pleasure of working alongside Cleveland College of Art & Design’s prestigious Surface Design department, to create a promotional document which would enable the department to promote 36 students and two course, and create a ‘wow’ factor amongst its recipients.
The process involved a number of complex sourcing and research methods which led to a unique and tactile product to distribute to selected key industry figures at at the high profile Indigo event in Paris.”
“Robert Page working alongside 36 students from the course, each document sleeve was individually screen printed using a number of screen printing methods (acid, dye, reactives, foils etc) to created 420 stunning final folders all wax sealed, and emblemed with the Colleges logo.
Each folder contained a student profile card containing brief and concise information about the individual student and showing examples of their work produced for the final year degree show, which was showcased in Hartlepool.
The Techniques involved in the project include:
– Screenprinting
– Photography
– Form Cutting
– Wax Sealing
– Die Cutting
– Graphic Design
– Branding
– Print Managment
The final result was stunning with 420 different design on the outer folders, due to an inclusive process where all 36 students actively took part to form a large production line creating the final folders, utilising and recycling the studios screens that had been created throughout the courses final year.
With the remainder of the print, each student received a box of the printed individual inlay cards to use for their own promotion and to help find employment or further study.
A Number of packages were required to post out to thrid parties and education establishments etc. in an innovative and interesting. So the excess printed cards were vacuum packed and sealed at Teesside Shipping Supplies with the help of Mick who was a great help.”
