Rabastas And The 700-Year-Old History Of Armagnac

Designed By Sand Creative | Country: United Kingdom

Armagnac is among the oldest French fruit brandy in the world and has a rich 700-year-old history.

In 1310, Maître Vital duFour, prior of Saint-Mont and Eauze, researched and wrote about the 40 virtues of the French eau-de-vie in his book.

Cardinal du Four mentions the following:

“It enlivens the spirit, partaken in moderation, recalls the past to memory, renders men joyous, preserves youth and retards senility. And when retained in the mouth, it loosens the tongue and emboldens the wit, if someone timid from time to time himself permits.”

Amanda Garnhamfrom the Bureau National Interprofessionel de l’Armagnac’s mentions:

“An artisanal and traditional product, Armagnac is made by families, not industries. Most producers are small in comparison to the other famous brandy [cognac]. Although there are similarities, it should not be compared for many reasons…”

The colorless fruit brandy is carefully crafted by families who have dedicated their lives in creating this fabulous drink. The process of creating Armagnac involves double distillation and fermentation.

The grape-based eau-de-vie, Armagnac, is named after the region it is produced in—Armagnac, Gascony, Southwest France.

Bottled and distilled in Gascony, Rabastas Armagnac is perfect for cocktails and on the rocks. The grape-based drink comes in a bottle with a silhouette of a horse on the packaging label. But why a horse on the packaging label? The brand is inspired by the local legend of the region d’Artagnan and his horse named Rabastas.

Uncoated paper textured has been used for the packaging label where the attractive design sits modishly. “A tamper strip seals the bottle with the phrase ‘L’esprit mousquetaire’ ‘The musketeer spirit.’ – A spirit of freedom and adventure.
