As adventurous as it may sound, the latest range of wine created by Le Petit Ballon is completely based on their customers’ preferences. The winemakers went about the proceedings by distributing questionnaires to their regular customers. Based on the feedback and the answers, Les Vinificateurs was born.
Atipus, the Barcelona-based graphic design studio, was inspired by the peculiar process employed by Le Petit Ballon. The design agency felt that the packaging design should reflect the survey’s result.
Atipus used various geometrical shapes such as circles, triangles, and bars to highlight the process of wine creation.
“This is a singular wine: Le Petit Ballon created it specifically for their consumers’ taste. They gave a questionnaire to their regular clients and based on their answers, the wine was made. Les Vinificateurs are a couple of wines made from customers’ input. Because it was such a peculiar process, we wanted to reflect just that.
We translated their data into visuals. We used bars, circles and other geometric figures used in statistical graphics, using proportions to illustrate their data.
This is ‘Les Vinificateurs’: a new innovative and unique wine made for their customers to savor more than ever.”
