The Jianliang Yuanjiu spirit, a budget-friendly drink, is known for its simple yet unique and warm packaging.
The spirit is produced by Jianli Grain and Wine Co., Ltd., a distinctive enterprise located in Jianli County, Jingzhou, Hubei Province. The company’s main focus is on the production of the local folk historical product, “Jianli Grain and Wine”. They own the registered brand trademarks of “Jianli Grain and Wine”, “Jianli”, and “Shuibian Town”.
Jianli, located in the Jianghan Plain, has been known as the “granary” since ancient times due to its abundant grain production. Today, it remains the largest rice producing area in China. After the Battle of Chibi in the Three Kingdoms, Jianli became a crucial supply area for the troops of Liu Bei. The breweries in the town prospered, and a unique process of fermentation using lotus leaves in a pond was developed. This rich history coupled with the abundant high-quality rice and unique fermentation process has made Jianli’s grain wine famous.
Despite being gradually forgotten by the times due to historical developments and the rise of other wines, the luster of the Jianli grain and wine has become more genuine, much like a pearl left in the wild.
