Gatorade, a brand of PepsiCo, known prominently for its colorful sports drinks loaded with performance-enhancing electrolytes, is broadening its range with the launch of Gatorade Water.
Designed to have a pH of 7.5 or above, Gatorade Water is unflavored and enriched with electrolytes. The brand is targeting active individuals seeking continuous hydration throughout the day.
Gatorade Water’s packaging, designed by Vault49 and PepsiCo Design + Innovation, features clear plastic bottles made from 100% recycled materials. The slender, transparent bottles are highlighted with an orange label and cap, and a series of lightning bolts along the shoulder. It’s intriguing that the usual Gatorade logo which adorns the brand’s other products is missing from this packaging. Nevertheless, the bottle’s color, typography, and embossed bolts establish a connection to the parent Gatorade brand.
“Today’s athletes are more wellness-minded than ever, and they expect Gatorade to meet all of their hydration needs, 24/7,” stated Anuj Bhasin, chief brand officer at Gatorade. “Gatorade Water is an all-day hydration solution for all active individuals, regardless of who they are or how they move, from the leader in sports fuel that they trust.”
One-liter bottles of Gatorade Water are now available across the country.
