About Oval
A vision was brought forward by Chris to establish a New York City coffee brand, Oval, that delivers top-notch coffee without compromising on ethical or sustainable standards. This allows coffee enthusiasts to relish extraordinary coffee while contributing towards a more compassionate world.
Oval presents responsibly sourced coffee with entirely sustainable packaging. The mission was to translate this into a tangible concept that allows consumers to understand what high-quality, ethical coffee truly signifies. The aspiration was to design a brand and packaging that oozes sophistication and refinement while maintaining clarity and accessibility.
What was done
Hand-drawn illustrations were crafted to signify key elements of the brand’s sourcing and production standards. The illustrations’ uncomplicated and organic style imparts a playful and approachable vibe.
Next, a minimal and graceful packaging design was created, aimed at offering consumers an enhanced, sophisticated experience while preparing their coffee.
The packaging includes the brand story and key illustrated points on the back, providing consumers with knowledge about Oval’s core values. This encourages customers to feel good about their conscious purchase, knowing they’re part of a greater ethical mission.
