The Context
Beermut represents a departure from convention, drawing inspiration from the rich heritage of vermouth recipes. Traditionally, vermouth infuses wine with an array of botanicals, yielding a complex and aromatic libation. However, Beermut boldly reimagines this process by substituting wine with beer as the base beverage. This innovative twist results in a captivating flavor profile that seamlessly marries the bold character of beer with the nuanced botanical notes typically associated with vermouth.
The Problem
The birth of Beermut stemmed from the collaboration between two brands: El Guarango Vermut and Traümer beer. While the partnership held promise, the challenge lay in crafting a sub-brand under El Guarango Vermut that would seamlessly integrate elements of Traümer beer. To address this, the journey began to integrate Traümer beer’s iconic symbol—a bear—into the visual identity of El Guarango Vermut, transforming it into a charming and endearing character that would resonate with El Guarango consumers.
The Result
The collaboration culminated in the creation of an engaging branding system that truly embodies the spirit of Beermut. A charismatic beer invites viewers to explore further, igniting their curiosity and drawing them in. At the heart of this system lie two distinct cans, each containing a unique product, distinguished by colors. The brand’s identity is defined by a sleek and minimalist design, anchored by a strong logotype that forms the foundation of its visual identity. Whether showcased alone or alongside the charming Beermut character, the logotype exudes confidence and commands recognition. Additionally, a compelling collection of illustrations and handwritten fonts was created, infusing the brand with depth and personality.
