COURIER COLLECTION – The Courier Collection is a set of premium messenger bags designed for the bike messenger community.  The aim for the packaging was to connect the consumer with a familiar yet sophisticated format that was appropriate for the product it enclosed.  The contrast between the rawness of the “package” motif and the refined details like the string and button tie closure communicates a sense of rugged refinement.

CHINESE NEW YEAR – To celebrate the Year of the Ox, Incase created limited edition cases that required special “New Years” packaging. The visual system was designed to reflect the Chinese values of good fortune and prosperity through the use of red and gold and a subtle coin pattern texture that wrapped around the box.

CURATED BY ARKITIP – Designed for Incase, Curated by Arkitip is a project aimed at delivering artistically embellished Apple based products featuring artists chosen by Arkitip. The packaging objective was to allow the product to speak for itself by keeping the branding and product information at a minimum. A consistent branding system was created so that any artwork and format could be accommodated.

POWER SLIDER VIP KIT

T – The Power Slider is the first product to incorporate a rechargeable battery into a protective case for the iPhone 3G. In addition, the Power Slider was Incase Designs’ formal introduction to the electronic device category. To effectively announce the introduction of “power” into our product line, the visual language of the campaign focused on the color orange, inspired by the ever-present orange extension cord. The main challenge of the VIP gift box was to communicate the main selling feature of the product while keeping the product inside its current packaging. The result was a creative solution in which the product became a metaphor for an electrical outlet.

EO COLLECTION – Designed for the intelligent traveler, Incase has created the EO Collection (“eo: to go”), a new bag category offering a sophisticated, casual aesthetic. The objective was to create packaging appropriate for premium retailers while communicating Incase’s core brand values (simplicity, efficiency and agility).  The solution was a visual system that combined the rich textural qualities of kraft and the sophistication and simplicity of the color white. The gift box format was an obvious choice for the nature of this type of collection.

VIP KIT – Incase regularly sends gift boxes of its newest product offerings to its VIPs. In an effort to create a flexible gift box system for small goods, we designed a box that can house up to five products. Each product conveniently fits inside a recyclable zip-lock pouch that encourages reuse while the graphics and branding reflect the company’s commitment to simplicity, efficiency and design.

PAUL RODRIGUEZ SIGNATURE COLLECTION – Incase partnered with street skater Paul Rodriguez to introduce a signature collection of premium skate travel bags. For the packaging, the aim was to reflect the design aesthetic of the bags through the ideas of “stealth” and “travel”.  The concept of travel is communicated through the built-in handles of the box and the foldout user manual, which served as a “map” to the various features of the product. In addition, a stealthy and premium look is established through the use of black foil stamp on black cardboard.
