Besht Chips Packaging Design

Designed by: Wololo | Country: India

Besht, a product of Kothari Foods, is a range of healthy snacks made of Oats and Ragi. Targeted for Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns, Besht promises to stand out from the crowd in terms of packaging and taste.

In addition to the packaging design, Wololo, a Delhi-based creative platform, worked on branding and visual identity.

The project brief was to create the brand from scratch, name, architecture, visual identity, et al. plus the packaging. We saw this project through from the early steps of coming up with the name, to then branding it, developing a mascot and creating the packaging for the snacks, as if it was our own.

The packaging

The packaging is bright and playful, which can easily attract customers from Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns. Apart from bright color palettes, the illustration of a 3D-modeled mascot can be seen on the packaging label.

“The packaging design is fun, playful and bright, represented through a use of bright colors and a 3D modeled mascot. The packaging also shows a visual representation of the chips along with the flavor and a color to represent the flavor on the pack. The mascot is designed to cater to a younger audience, wearing a pair of ripped jeans, a set of headphones and sporting a designer pair of shades.”
