Welcome to the vibrant world of Miami with Boundless Brand Design’s introduction of the new Royal Salute 21 Year Old Miami Polo Edition. This latest expression is the 4th edition of Royal Salute’s Polo series, inviting whisky enthusiasts and culture enthusiasts to savour a taste of Miami, with every sip embodying the city’s glamorous backdrop.
With a relationship with polo that spans over 15 years, Royal Salute continues its tradition of capturing the culture of emblematic polo locations around the world, and this time, it’s Miami in the spotlight. Celebrated player and Royal Salute World Polo Ambassador, Malcolm Borwick, endorses this new polo-inspired expression.
In collaboration with illustrator Charlie Davies, Boundless Brand Design has captured the playful allure of the city, the sun-kissed Palm Beach, and the iconic art deco architecture to create a rich and luxurious polo scene. The outer design is set in a modern Miami polo-lounge overlooking a star-studded polo field, layered beneath a pink haze. The inner pack illustration captures the mesmerizing Miami beaches at sunset, enhanced with deepened pink tones that add depth and dimension to the design.
The whisky is housed in a striking and iconic Miami pink flagon, a perfect accessory for the modern-day whisky lover. Hamish Shand, Founder and Creative Director at Boundless Brand Design, expresses his excitement over the collaboration with Royal Salute on yet another edition of the Polo series, highlighting the aspirational lifestyle for the King of Whisky.
The Royal Salute 21 Year Old Miami Polo Edition was officially unveiled in Palm Beach in April 2024 through a two-day event. The event featured a high-energy polo match at the Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, with Malcolm Borwick taking to the field in front of more than 300 guests. The ‘Royal Salute Polo Challenge in Support of Sentebale’ brought together guests championing the charity’s work supporting vulnerable people and their communities to address issues of health, wealth inequality and climate resilience in Lesotho and Botswana. Royal Salute has been a long-term supporter of the charity, co-founded in 2006 by Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex and the Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.
This design project, handled by [Boundless Brand Design](https://www.theboundless.co.uk/), a creative agency based in London, United Kingdom, has been marked as a global project status and falls under the Food/Beverage industry.
The deliverables of the project include 2D Design, Art Direction, Design, Illustration and Packaging Design. The packaging format is a box, and the design was done by illustrator [Charlie Davis](https://www.charliedavisillustration.com/).
