St Agnes, an Australian brandy brand, has been in the business for over 90 years. The business is owned by the Angove wine and distilling family and is currently in the hands of its fifth generation, Richard Angove. Richard, a person with love and respect for his rich heritage, wishes to take his family legacy to newer heights by launching Camborne Single Malt Whiskey.
Voice, the Adelaide-based creative agency responsible for the branding and packaging of the new product, mentions:
“Our minds started ticking as soon as Richard told us of the double distilled, super-premium Single Malt Whiskies laid down in 2016 by master distiller Ben Horley… Full of character and vibrancy, these whiskies needed a story and identity that not only stamped their debut on the market, but also honored the eons of experience and craftsmanship behind them.”
The combination of grey and black makes the packaging look sophisticated and classy. The typeface on the label, along with the logo, represents the company’s decades-old artistry and experience.
“We wanted to give a nod to Dr. William Angove by christening the whisky Camborne, after the Cornish town where he was born. It’s the ultimate full circle—Camborne birthed Dr. William Angove, Dr. William Angove birthed Angove, Angove birthed St Agnes Distillery and now St Agnes Distillery has birthed Camborne Single Malt Whisky.”
