In a remarkable venture, Grit Studio embraced the challenge of creating their own wine brand entirely from the ground up. This personal passion project allowed them to expand their skill set beyond the realm of client work, providing a firsthand experience of the comprehensive brand development process. Their journey was marked by a close collaboration with a seasoned winemaker, blending their creative design expertise with real-world wine knowledge.

The pivotal task of selecting the perfect grapes and crafting an ideal blend was undertaken with precision, with the aim of producing a wine that would authentically reflect the values and aesthetics of their agency. A thorough exploration of various combinations led them to fine-tune the delicate equilibrium of taste, aroma, and mouthfeel. This hands-on experimentation throughout the production phase yielded invaluable insights that now inform and enhance their guidance to clients. Crafting the brand identity became a labor of passion, resulting in the meticulous design of labels and collateral materials that genuinely conveyed the personality of their new wine.

The launch of their proprietary brand marked a profoundly rewarding achievement, affording them an intimate understanding of the complete wine branding journey, from vine to design. This newfound knowledge greatly benefits their collaborative efforts with partners and deepens their appreciation for the craftsmanship inherent in every bottle.

The packaging design

Their brand, CAOS, draws its inspiration from the wellspring of all creation. Immersing themselves in the chaotic realm, they found a connection to the unexpected and enigmatic aspects of life. Just as mountains shape rocks with spontaneous creativity and the sea releases its boundless energy through crashing waves, embracing chaos represents an acknowledgment of nature’s intricate complexity that defies any attempt at rigid order.

The label of CAOS serves as a conduit for the untamed power of nature and terroir in their purest and most authentic forms, mirroring the wine itself, which possesses an unbridled spirit that invites individuals to savor the present moment. This wine encourages a release of control, embracing the delightful surprises that life’s inherent unpredictability has to offer.
