The packaging design for Highball Coffee was inspired by rock and an innate sense of adventure that resides deep within people. One of the highlights of this new generation beverage brand is its “tea bag” style coffee, which allows the consumers to carry their drink on the go.
“Highball Coffee needed a brand identity to stand out in the online coffee market and appeal to the climbers community. The goal was to create a rugged and bold look to make lovers outdoor adventures’ lovers feel identified with the coffee they drink.”
Russ Design, a Barcelona-based creative agency, created the packaging designs for Highball Coffee. From the color palette to the fonts to the symbols, the packaging design oozes adventure and energy.
“The packaging has been designed to make their coffee bags instantly recognizable, attention-grabbing and climbing inspired in its naming as well as graphic system.
In fact, all of Highball’s roasts are named after famous boulders and climbs across the US: Lucid Dreaming and Midnight Lightning, to name a few.
The pattern differentiates every roast by visually recalling the textures and colors of the related boulder through the repetition of the symbol shape.”
