Maison Du Vin: French Wine For All

Designed By: Kingdom & Sparrow | Country: United Kingdom

The French say, “Quand le vin est tiré, il faut le boire,” which means, “When the wine is poured, it must be drunk.” That said, it is not easy for new wine drinkers to lay their hands on a sophisticated-looking bottle of French wine. The UK-based winemaker, Off-Piste Wines, wanted to create a brand that would have all the elements of high-quality fine French wine but be accessible to all.

Established in 2007, Off-Piste Wines boasts of having some of the best brands on display. From Pinot Pinot to Most Wanted Wines, Off-Piste Wines is home to some of the most popular wine brands. However, the company soon realized that French wines were not easily accessible to all. With that in mind, the winemakers launched a new brand, Maison Du, Vin, that would have all the elements of the best French wines but be readily available.

Off-Piste Wines approached branding agency Kingdom & Sparrow to create designs that would tell the customers about the new brand. The branding agency mentions the following:

“We created not just a set of labels, but a Maison Du Vin brand that paired classic and modern cues with an edge of playful personality. Taking the idea of ‘home’ and unlocking great French wines, we created a bold but elegant logo, using the keyhole to emphasize the brand ethos.”

In addition to the logo, the branding agency created illustrations for each variety of wine based on the region it came from.
