“Odin Fragrance represents a joint venture that unites the retail and curatorial experience of Paul Birardi and Eddy Chai of Odin New York and with the product design, manufacturing and brand engineering capabilities of Larry Paul and Kelly Kovack from Purpose-Built.
Form and function are the core essence of Odin packaging. An exploration in black with contrasting materials and surfaces promote discovery and a tactile experience.
With a nod to slip case-covered collectible books, this rigid box is wrapped in soft touch paper with a grosgrain pull tab and die cut foam to protect the EDP bottle. The design nuances of the transparent black bottle preserves the integrity of the fragrance while revealing the rich amber color of the liquid when backlit. The custom weighted cap and soft touch finish adds an unexpected detail to the completion of the fragrance.
Hand poured slate-colored wax and sleek translucent black glass expand the Odin experience into home fragrance. The flame takes on the amber hue drawing a direct relation to the amber glow of the fine fragrance. The matte black Zamac candle lid doubles as a stand for the candle when in use.”
