The first “peanut butter and jelly sandwich recipe” review appeared in Boston Cooking School Magazine of Culinary Science and Domestic Economics by Julia Davis in 1901. According to Davis, the combination of crab-apple jelly and currant was delicious and original.
During the 1930s, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches started gaining popularity. From being in the exclusive food category in the early 1900s to becoming popular with the masses in the 30s, “peanut butter provided a satisfying, high protein, less expensive meal.”
OMW! (On My Way) makes preparing a sandwich easier because the product comes in convenient packaging suitable to carry anywhere.
“OMW! is a brand of convenient butter and jam in the pouches, you can easily take with you and fix a sandwich whenever you want it. OMW! offers an easy and convenient way to preserve your lunch from being smashed or squished in a bag.”
The packaging
OMW! teamed up with PG Brand Reforming, a Warsaw-based branding agency, to create packaging designs that would highlight the fun and comforting side of the product. The four products by OMW! come in different color schemes, in line with what the company has to offer.
“…The naming itself highlights the idea of the product and cheerful illustrations help us not only to highlight a taste but to comfort a child with bright images during your commute wherever you are heading.
There are four products right now: peanut butter and almond butter, blueberry jam and strawberry jam.”
