Bronuts

Designed by One Plus One Design | Country: Canada

“Concept: a location in the Exchange District in Winnipeg, Canada, means a wide cross section of clientele. This includes young professionals, corporate offices, and college students, all from a multitude of different industries. With a bold name, the brand needed to give off a vibe landing in between hipness and approachability, attracting customers from all walks of life.

Solution: a simple product offering called for a simple solution. Better yet, a clever solution. Taking a step back from our initial concepts we quickly realized the opportunity the name held, which was not immediately obvious — coffee + donuts are located right in the middle of the company name. Running with this discovery, we engineered a crisp brand identity with a tongue in cheek personality, carefully considering each brand extension. Exterior and interior signage, menu design, individual and group donut packaging were all consistently designed for engaging customer experience.”

“With the THB cans, we wanted to create a bold, poppy, eye-catching package that referenced both the heritage of the THB name (the Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo railway line, or THB, active from the late 1800’s – the 1980’s) and the prominent industrial and art deco architecture in our native Hamilton (home to both THB and Poly), while also conveying the enthusiasm and verve of this contemporary craft brewery.”

Fous de L’île

Designed by Fivethousand Fingers | Country: Canada

“With a passion for kombucha and care for quality, Fous de l’île brews the fermented tea beverage in small batches in Montréal.

Our relationship with Fous de l’île began early in their formation so we were involved in the founding aspects of the product. In addition to designing the brand and the packaging, we assessed the initial market environment, helped manage production, named the product (with a nod to Québecois poet and singer-songwriter Félix Leclerc) and directed copywriting. Our intent was to give kombucha a broader appeal as a natural beverage made with care, allowing it to escape the limited perception as a health drink.

Fous de l’île can be found in a growing number of locations on the island of Montréal, and we have the pleasure of continuing our work with them as they advance.”

“The Niagara Oast House Bière de Noël is a limited edition winter warmer and like their other Farm House Ales, it’s brewed and bottle conditioned in a traditional Belgian style.

Continuing on the series of seasonal Farm House Ale packages, we envisioned this jolly Ho Ho H’Oast calling Santa with a more robust and à la mode beard. A beard Noel one might say.”

Nutrilait

Designed by TAXI | Country: Canada

“For its new brand identity, Nutrilait’s simplicity is featured. Far from the image of an immaculate and perfect lifestyle used in so many ads and magazines, the platform was built around the tag line “Real milk for real life.” Life is full of beautiful messes – chaotic mornings, kids who don’t want to wake up, spilt milk, and dinners in front of the TV. Life isn’t perfect – and Nutrilait wants to celebrate these beautiful imperfections.

“The synergy with the Saputo team was immediate,” says Pascal De Decker, Executive Creative Director and GM of TAXI Montréal. “From our very first meeting, we saw they had a true grasp of the stakes, and a real determination to find solutions. Too many clients stick their head in the sand when things aren’t optimal. Saputo isn’t one of them. We came up with unconventional ideas and they came on board.”
