“eBay just launched a new set of reusable boxes as part of a pilot program to make shipping a little greener.
Starting in October, the company is giving away 100,000 shipping boxes to eBay sellers, and encouraging reuse. According to eBay, if each box gets used five times, the program could protect nearly 4,000 trees, save 2.4 million gallons of water, and conserve enough electricity to power 49 homes for a year.

“Asked to refresh the Strathmore Paper brand presentation for our longtime client Mohawk Fine Papers, Pentagram asked the designer Marian Bantjes to reinterpret the famous Strathmore thistle. This mark was then used to create a pattern for new packaging of Strathmore Paper reams. The goal was to project a stronger signature presence for the brand in business-to-business and direct-to-consumer retail settings.

“Office collaborated with 826 Valencia, a nonprofit tutoring center for youth, to reinvigorate its pirate supply storefront. We developed the store’s new identity, and conceptualized and designed nearly 50 new products. ‘Office has produced some of the most ravishing and funny buccaneer supplied yet known to man,’ said Dave Eggers, 826 Valencia founder and McSweeney’s editor. Reflecting the store’s wildly imaginative experience, the products represent 826’s mission to support creative expression. All proceeds directly benefit 826 Valencia’s writing programs.”

I don’t think that I could ever become sick of Askul’s packaging or design, it’s absolutely wonderful. Expect to see more of it here in the coming weeks and months.
“The main objective of the new identity is to increase Askul’s competitive power and brand heat in a mature market. The ambition is to mark the introduction of a new era and communicate the evolution of the Askul company.”
How do you package office chairs? With a slip cover of course. Design Project has come up with a very clean and effective solution for contemporary furniture consultancy Corporate Workspace. I’m not sure what I’d like more, the chair or the cover.
“For Coca-Cola Light Plus, a soft drink fortified with vitamins and minerals, Office established the visual language, packaging and guidelines to help the global Coke team manage the brand’s launch in each local market. Plus is about doing what’s good for and indulging in what you love, so Office worked to communicate that balance.”
I love the simplicity of these designs and their use of bold type and colors. This system created by BVD is a fine example of where less is more.

licity and clear communication. The typography has distinctive elements of colour and graphics, which makes the packaging eye-catching within both the extensive catalogue, and the home or office environment.”
