“Harmonian, includes a wide range of special food, from olive oil, to flour, pasta, herb infusions, and fleur de sell. What makes them unique is the fact that many of them are based on the Triticum Dicoccum variety of wheat seeds, one of the earliest domesticated, dual core crops, in the ancient world, the official favorite of the Ancient Greeks.

The briefing (in brief): “We want a packaging design which will introduce in the most definitive way a radical line of food products. They are actually more of ‘food principles’, as they all suggest a new, health-smart and taste-full way of life. We want the design to be equally innovative.” The target consumer: Greek and foreign markets. Health conscious and demanding consumers. Products offered in specialized food shops, delicatessen stores, brand e-shop.”

“A package destined for the foreign market, that expresses the taste and spirit of a typical Italian product: Pasta Garofalo arrives in Brazil with Angelini Design.

The packaging of pasta Filippo Menna has been studied by Angelini Design to export our good name overseas: the classic transparency of the packages was joined by a symbol of the Vesuvius and the traditional color of the city of Naples, light blue. The Italian touch on this packaging is evident, inside it is the most traditional line of products for Garofalo: this pasta in fact takes its name from the son of the Group’s president, and is prepared according to the classic recipe of Gragnano.”

“Realizing that most people have a difficult time gauging how much pasta to cook. This is a fictional brand and packaging for pasta. The sustainable, cylindrical structures functions to help isolate the correct amount of pasta per serving while differentiating itself amongst its competition of sacks and boxes.

The caps double as a measuring device. The length of the caps are determined by the volumetric space of one serving size of any short-cut noodles.

Long noodles utilize an alternate mechanism within the cylinder. By rotating the upper half of the structure, the top of the package reveals an opening that allows exactly one serving size to pass through at a time.”

“One of our assignments was to redesign the packaging for De Cecco, a famous brand of pasta. The brand takes pride in their high quality pasta and Italian heritage. Because De Cecco is so well known and familiar to many, I decided to keep the original logo to offset the very modern redesign. A large window was chosen to emphasize the product while the rustic box and sticker label mimic the homemade packaging of fresh pasta.”
