The Book of Stranger

I’m a huge fan of Stranger & Stranger. The level of craft and thought that goes into their work never ceases to amaze me. For the past seven years we’ve been receiving their annual Christmas gift designed for clients and friends alike, and every year it’s one the gifts I most look forward to receiving.

“Twenty years is a long time in studio years and so we thought we’d celebrate the year with something a little less frivolous than our typical offering. The Book of Stranger features a few hundred of the four and a half thousand jobs we’ve done in that time and the cover, inspired a little by Hieronymous Bosch features all of them. We were looking for appropriate packaging and the human skin covered books of the Bosch era seemed appropriate. Just kidding, it’s not human. It is skin though.”

Ooh Ooh Ah Ah!

Ooh Ooh Ah Ah!

Designed by Peck and Co. | Country: United States

“Emilie Wildiers came to us with the idea of building a new brand around her unique, banana-based jam recipes. She runs a well-known company in Belgium that has been creating various jams and jellies since the 80′s. But, this is not just another condiment to add to the pantry. It’s deliciously different. A shareable delicacy for every member of the family, from choosy moms and dads, to the kids.

The name we chose is unmistakable in any language. Say it out loud, and you can’t help but smile. “Nom-Nom” the monkey is not only the hero of the brand… he’s a new member of your family. Bon Apetit!”

HIGH VIT

Designed by Moon Troops – Creative Agency | Country: Lithuania

“HIGH VIT packaging design was meant to stress the functionality of these 3 drinks that were developed to support three important body functions. It had to be a mixture of pharmaceutical and traditional soft drink design details so MoonTroops creative agency chose a white background and implemented tasty colours for each different taste. “Keep it simple and straightforward” – this was the main mission of designing the package for this drink and it was accomplished.”

The Bakewell Soap Company

Designed by DZINE MAFIA | Country: United Kingdom

“This is a concept redesign of the soap packaging for The Bakewell Soap Company who produce, amongst other things, beautifully coloured blocks of handmade soap specially blended for different skin types. Sadly the existing packaging doesn’t live up to the quality of the product with a poor design and cheap printing.

The DZINE MAFIA packaging has brightened the pack giving a more solid brand feel, including a new simpler, more classic logo working alongside a slab-serif font in a handprinted finish. Bespoke illustrations sit top and bottom to help differentiate each variety, resulting in a gift or luxury treat with a more artisan and individual feel.”

Rahal Farms

Rahal Farms

Rahal Farms

Designed by Anderson Design Group | Country: United States

“Back in late fall, architect and farmer Michael Rahal approached us with a branding opportunity. He founded Rahal Farms, which is located in the historic farming village of Fernvale, Tennessee. His farm practices holistic, sustainable land stewardship, compassionate animal husbandry, and educational community outreach in order to produce healthful, delicious and ecologically sound food. The goal of our branding was to suggest artful, healthy, earthy farm-fresh goodness while keeping the happy animals at the forefront. With his hens producing 400 eggs a day, we scrambled (no pun intended) to create an egg carton label so he could start selling his delicious farm-fresh eggs. He was looking for something that would really set his eggs apart on the store shelves and elevate his product above all others in the same category. We achieved this by choosing a colored carton with a wrap-around label that featured custom typography and illustration in complementary colors. The final label was printed on French Speckletone Paper in Cream Cordtone.”

Angioletta

Designed by Kaleidoscope | Country: United States

“National importing company, Wein-Bauer, Inc., engaged Kaleidoscope to develop a simple and elegant packaging design for Angioletta, a sweet, “casual” white wine produced in Italy from a Spanish Moscato. Targeting outgoing, fun, adventurous young women, the packaging needed to be approachable, innocent and playful. The full body shrink label design delivers on its taste appeal but makes no mistake that this wine is for your cooler, not your cellar.”

Designed by BRND WGN | Country: Malta

“What better way to celebrate a year ended than to put the highlights of 2011 in ink on paper and wrap it around our very own hand picked Private Estate Selection, Cabernet Sauvignon from 2007. It’s been a while since we worked on a publication so we really enjoyed working on this project and printed two versions, one on standard news print paper and the other on the same salmon hue paper used for the Financial Times.  Our top clients and friends got a numbered bottle of which only 100 were produced whilst we also sent a copy of BRND NWS (as we aptly called our news paper) to other contacts of ours across the globe. We had some great feedback and will probably publish BRND NWS again.”

“Uten is a Norwegian product line containing natural and seasonal jams, chocolates and condiments that are home made and free from gluten, milk, soy, refined sugar and preservatives. The packaging encourages the buyer to re-use, with recipes and tips inside the label folder. When the jar is empty and the chocolate is eaten, simply take of the tags (the string makes sure you’ll have no sticky glue marks!) and use the empty containers to create your own delicious foods.”
