The owner wanted to create a brand that would sell premium quality coffee at an affordable rate. Have you wondered why a cup of coffee can be so expensive? Well, the truth is producing premium quality coffee is labor-intensive. Every stage, from harvesting to processing, needs to be carefully handled. The price you pay for that heavenly sip covers all the stages of coffee development.
While a premium coffee experience comes at a high cost, the owner of Wellz promises to create an affordable version. Widarto Impact, an East Java-based branding and design agency, was given the responsibility to create the brand identity and packaging design of the new coffee brand.
The packaging
According to the branding agency, ‘Wellz’ is a combination of the word ‘well’ and the suffix ‘Z,’ which signifies the delicious taste of the coffee. The branding agency mentions the following:
“For packaging design, we wanted to communicate brand benefits in a fun way by maximizing the impact of color, photography and typography in a simple yet powerful design layout. By displaying the “Old Fashioned Brewing Method” product value, we want the packaging design to become a strong brand identity and have a competitive value in the market.”
