“With its long tradition, Zdenka is recognized as high quality cheese with unique flavor. It is a cheese for pleasure since it is natural, made of the finest domestic milk, and good for health. The task was to design packaging for Zdenka cheese with truffles, premium line of Zdenka cheese. Packaging should define this cheese as premium, high quality and traditional but at the same time for the modern market.

Packaging for Zdenka Cheese with truffles is combination of paper and wood: special paper for wrapping the cheese, sticker on the back, the wooden box and paper wrapper around the box. The wooden box has silk print on the cover that was designed to look old fashioned. The paper materials are combination of retro branding and redesigned identity of Zdenka packagings. We decided to use company dark blue as the main color for the all lines of Zdenka packaging. That made a distinction on the market with unusual color treatment in that segment. All products have line design with dark blue and some other color depending of the line or product. That allows recognition of brand even when parts of cheese and packaging are cut on the sale point. In the premium line dark blue is combined with bronze, silver or gold.”
