“The distillery is based in the heartlands of Finnish Ostrobothnia. The first batch of the whisky won’t be available until 2017, but an initial product called Juuri (Root) is already in production to be used in cocktails. More products will be developed and made in small batch style as the production evolves. The company also has clear-cut plans for entry into the international market, aiming boldly at global metropolises such as London, Berlin, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

This sort of brand evolution meant that the identity needed stand the test of time and changes: it had to be clean, fresh and easy to use still after a couple of years when the first whiskys are matured.”

Color Mask

Designed by BOB Helsinki | Country: Finland

“Color Mask is a tinting and repairing conditioner for coloured hair. When choosing this kind of product, the colour is, naturally, the most important thing. So why not take all the fun out of it also in the packages?

The packages beautifully and clearly show the colour they’re all about. You feel like a child in a candy shop but without the sugar overdose – even though the packages flirt with colour, the style is simple and clear.”

Let Me Be

Designed by Bob Helsinki | Country: Finland

“Premium hair care range by Bob Helsinki for Miraculos.

We wanted our new premium line to be something different: personal, sympathetic and organic. We wanted to give the products depth, personality and own voice – also in the name. The decision was to speak to the user through the package itself. To literally open a conversation: ask gently for a permission to enter the user’s world. This combined with a unique matte feel of the bottle, the translucent surface and the creamy colour of the liquids made the products both luxurious and easily accessible.”

AER20-200

Designed by Antti Kangas | Country: Finland

“Record cover for the debut 12” vinyl EP of my personal electronic music project, AER20-200. The aim was to create an interesting, unique and catchy package, which would also be in line with the style of the music.

In this design, the cover consists of an outer sleeve made of white cardboard and an inner sleeve made of red paper. On the outer sleeve, all of the text, such as the names of the artist and the tracks is written by cutting out letter with a laser allowing the red inner sleeve to show through. There’s nothing printed on the outer cover itself – it’s pure white. As is the actual record. Only small engravings near the blank white center label tell which side of the record is which. The music itself is electronic and falls between styles such as glitch, idm, noise and techno. The machine made nature of the album is represented in the simplistic and almost mathematically precise form of the cover.”
