“Waterkant is a locally roasted, premium coffee. It is known for its superior quality and taste. The production is water-neutral, it’s trade is fair to the environment and the producers. We were asked to develop a brand and packaging identity that could believably convey the values and attributes of the product. Just like a real brand ambassador, the Waterkant captain communicates all the distinctive features of the blend, including the idea of a water-neutral economy – reducing and offsetting its water-footprint.”

“1156 Duke Friedrich Barbarossa induced a regulation which punished those who served beer of poor quality or wrong quantity. The penalty: 5 Gulden. Inspired by this responsibility, the product concept 5 Gulden – a good beer of proper quantity – arose. The design is like the statement: plain and honest. The logo puts elements of the gothic architecture in a modern context which influence this unique product character. Every wooden box contains two 1 litre bottles of German premium beer: one filled with black beer and another with pilsner.”

“Thor Straten, coming from an old family name – meaning gate and street – is a beer that can’t be purchased, it is only given away as a present for festive occasions by the family. That is reflected in the identity and packaging. The pattern of the wrapping paper becomes a major element, also on the packaging itself.”

Designed by Peter Schmidt Group | Country: Germany

“Tea drinkers are individuals of strong character, people who like to indulge in a moment of deceleration in their daily lives, and this is the target group of Teahouse Exclusive’s “Everyday Line”. The packaging is of a bronze, shimmering quality and adorned with loosely drawn images of different cups and teapots, while thanks to a bold, colour coding approach, each tea variety immediately catches the eye. The typography has also been 100% handpicked, just like the teas themselves, with individual writing styles that promote their originality. This is as personal as it gets.”

“Do your thing! Be it in super markets, gourmet food or tea shops, nowadays nothing but conventional tea that lacks design and quality comes across your way.We decided to change that and break with all traditions of the tea establishment. The brand name “POP TEE” is derived from the Pop Art movement which shocked the art establishment in the mid-50s in a way we want to shake today’s tea market. Our goal is to breathe new life into the industry by combining puristic design and vivid hues with organic teas of the highest quality. The idea of POP TEE is based on a clear-cut sustainability concept and social involvement which means that we environmentally friendly produce and ship our products and partner with Slum-Kinder Kunst, an organization that supports young children in Third World countries.”
