Elisir di Trabia Olive Oil

Designed by GBX Studio | Country: Italy

“Elisir di Trabia is an extra-virgin olive oil produced in Trabia, a small town in Sicily. The name is inspired by the well-known opera “L’elisir d’amore” (The elixir of Love) by Gaetano Donizetti. This olive oil is not a love potion, but you will fall in love with it’s fragrance and superfine taste. The label is simple with heavy lettering resembling Italian Futurism. The geometric pattern with triangles and circles is represents the olives on the tree, between the leaves. The packaging was artisanally made with care and love: from the choice of the small 25cl glass bottles to the paper for the label (Crush Kiwi 120gr/m2, a unique earth friendly paper made using process residues from organic products including olives). Elisir di Trabia isn’t sold anywhere, it was made as a unique gift for friends and relatives, to satiate their appetite with a touch of love.”

Designed by Idem Design | Country: Italy

“The Limited Edition Collection for Varvaglione consists in a series of packaging for two different types of Italian red wine: Negroamaro del Salento and Primitivo del Salento. The idea was to create a design object, a cult, something precious and unique. Our aim was to “dress” the bottle like a living object and, to do that, we took inspiration from fashion world by which we were fascinated. The fashion area we analyzed was the textile one, in which we chose two textures to “sewed” our packaging around the bottle. Our work didn’t stop here, we also designed two special gift boxes (one for each texture chosen), in which are contained 6 bottles of wine.”

Big Belly Band

Designed by Daniele Simonelli | Country: Italy

“Inspired by a tour inside the Guinness Factory in Dublin, during the Autumn of 2011 I started to brew my own beer with some friends of mine. Even though we didn’t have any knowledge of the art of home-brewing, step by step we learned the craft and started to produce some pretty nice beer. Our intent has never been to create a commercial beer, but a homemade and handcrafted one. We wanted to have fun while brewing and to create a beer to share among our families and friends. Following this vision, I designed a brand identity which reflect the handmade nature of our beer: the BBB beer is totally handcrafted, from the brewing to the label.”

Cultivar Taggiasca

Cultivar Taggiasca

Cultivar Taggiasca

Designed by Paolo Varratta Design Consultant | Country: Italy

“Sacone is a small farm located in the Riviera Ligure. It’s a family company that is growing thanks to the great passion of owners and offers high quality products. The Extra Vergine Olive Oil “Cultivar Taggiasca” is probably one of the best olive oils available on the market. The request was to create a packaging that would match the content and to design a “corporate Identity” with a strong image joint to the location and the tradition. The label is made with silk-screen printing in one color and it is done directly on the bottle. This choice, has been made not only by aesthetic issues but also by functional needs.  Competitors usually use a paper label that becomes greasy during use. Otherwise the box is made of black cardboard , where the graphic is printed with hot foil, while the logo, manually applied, is made of real wood realized  by laser cutting.”
