“Arktis is a artisan gelato company situated in beautiful Svolvær, in the heart of the Lofoten Islands. Arktis produce natural gelato and sorbet with only natural ingredients. The production is done by hand and all the flavours are blended in manually. We wanted to capture the lines and the motion of the ingredients to give the public an association of the product on everything from the stationary to the website. It was a important for us to distance the identity and the products from other competitiors on the Norwegian market.”

Italians have milked buffalo for centuries to make cheeses like mozzarella di bufala. Double 8 Dairy decided to capitalize on the richness of the milk to create amazingly creamy farmstead gelato. The packaging captures this pioneering spirit by creating an unique aesthetic for ultra-premium ice creams and gelatos.  Positioned to stand out amongst other products in the high-end specialty food retailer, the design solution uses only color and repetitive typographic elements to create a bold and sophisticated branding statement. The end result is a package that exudes modernism, yet pays homage to the Italian heritage of the product itself”

“As a part of launching a new trademark of high-quality finished ingredients forcafe and restaurant chefs, a large-scale design concept was developed for morethan 250 items of products of Soyuzsnab Horeca. The packaging designtackles the tasks of simplicity and clarity at the same time: the product shouldbe noticeable on professional kitchen, and its inner content should be clearfrom the look of it, at first glance. It was also necessary to develop the systemof visual differentiation of ingredients – their purpose for various dishes andcorrespondence to this or that group of products.”

Stark wanted packaging that distinguished itself, which meant boldly displaying ingredients and production details as well as being visually striking. This series was an absolute blast to work on – a great opportunity to create an interesting play between our artwork, vivid colours and a quasi-scientific ‘elemental’ layout.

Stark Skincare was created in 2011, as a reaction to greenwashed and conventional skincare products. Stark uses 100% all-natural ingredients to create products made specifically for city life.”

“Orontas is fundamentally about keeping things simple and being straight forward so we wanted the aesthetic of our 2011 Spring/Summer line to reflected that.

When we entered the cycling maintenance market last year with our Bike Care Lubricant in Canada we were overwhelmed by how cluttered it was with over sized product lines; some we’re toxic, some are wax, some are synthetic, some are “green”. It’s all confusing to the shopper who really just wants a product that will get the job done without making them feel guilty about using because of it’s negative environmental impact.

Our goal was to communicate transparency, even if it meant showing product imperfections, like sediment. That’s the reality of working with natural ingredients; it is what it is and the proof is in the pudding.
