“Esterra® is a family Company that deals with the cultivation, commerce and export of olive oil, as well as other quality products based on the olive. Our enterprise has as goal to develop and expand its activities to other agricultural products, cultivated in the fertile land of Messinia.

The name of the Company comes from the union of the archaic “es” (from) with “terra” (land, in latin) and its goal is to express the connection of the Company to the traditional cultivation and the purity of the products of this land.

The design of the symbol of its trademark also stems from the values that mark this Company. Thus, knowledge and tradition lead to the design of an eternal unique olive tree, which has a ladder as a trunk, an element that symbolizes at the same time the traditional way of collecting olives as well as the modern, dynamic prospects of the Company.”

“Birdy is an ecologically produced extra virgin olive oil made from olive trees in the property of ‘Heredad la boquilla’ located in Valencia, Spain.

We developed everything from the name, concept, product, brand, packaging design and online communications.

We wanted to find the best way to communicate the natural quality of the product. We asked, “what’s more natural and free than a bird?”. We decided to create the bird using wood pieces of the tangram puzzle. Simple but effective.”

“Alexandra Manousakis left the U.S. back in 2007 to manage her family winery in the island of Crete. Her admiration for Crete, a magical place, rich in history and natural beauty, made her conceive a selection of local products under the name of Terroir, a line of products that serves as a showcase of Cretan nature as well as its unique and unforgettable terroir.

The approach on the design was influenced by Alexandra’s simplicity  in character and her love for supporting local communities and charities. Each bottle of the olive oil and sea salt jar, is handmade by a local ceramist, and a percentage of the profits is donated to ELEPAP, a very special school for children with disabilities.”

“The brief: “we have been producing olive oil for many years, growing trees in our family’s homeland in the Peloponnese. We now want to bottle it, mainly as a present for our friends and family”. The target audience: foreign clientele. People who can appreciate product provenance and family care.”

The design: it is very rare for a client to come to us with the simple request of “creating a family gift” and this is exactly what happened in this case. We were asked to create a product identity -naming and packaging design of a product – which was meant to address first of all the members of a Greek family of olive oil producers in Karpofora, Messinia. We had to pay tribute to a strong, living tradition and this is exactly what we did.”

The design: Honest Hellenic Products-Timion is one of the most present -relevant brand identities we have developed. At a time when Greece is openly criticized for misconducts, this brand identity adopts an unusually bold approach that verges on the humorous, while claiming a specific virtue as its very own differentiating quality. The logo design makes full use of the austerity implied by the brand name: honest, trustworthy, upstanding, are all properties indicated by the choice of fonts, the type of bottle, the clearly noted attributes of the product. Like an elixir, saved in modest, carefully measured proportions, the extra virgin olive oil of the laconian land travels abroad as a fine and well kept secret of the old but not lost Greek tradition.”

“Sacone is a small farm located in the Riviera Ligure. It’s a family company that is growing thanks to the great passion of owners and offers high quality products. The Extra Vergine Olive Oil “Cultivar Taggiasca” is probably one of the best olive oils available on the market. The request was to create a packaging that would match the content and to design a “corporate Identity” with a strong image joint to the location and the tradition. The label is made with silk-screen printing in one color and it is done directly on the bottle. This choice, has been made not only by aesthetic issues but also by functional needs.  Competitors usually use a paper label that becomes greasy during use. Otherwise the box is made of black cardboard , where the graphic is printed with hot foil, while the logo, manually applied, is made of real wood realized  by laser cutting.”
