DRIP Maple Syrup

Designed by SUPERFICIAL | Country: Canada | Fonts used: Caslon
“Of all of Canada’s famous exports, Maple Syrup is the most banal, poorly designed product – typically packaged in tacky plastic log-cabin-shaped or jug-like bottles.
CommonWealth first sourced the most pure, most concentrated and refined maple syrup and then approached us for a luxury-inspired treatment for the name, packaging, writing and complete branding program.
The design was handled with the same purity of thought and execution as the production of the syrup itself. It’s available in limited batches, and only in exclusive, high-end retail locations. ”

Fantastic! Finally, a maple syrup I can be proud of as a Canadian. THIS is something I’d be proud to gift to my design-oriented friends.
Besides Icewine (which could use a product overhaul), salmon and maybe water, Canada is lacking in world-worthy products that are branded with any consideration for their place or origins.
Thank you SUPERFICIAL!
Great copy, by the way. And the stopper/dripper is brilliant.

I’ve seen a lot of lovely products on this site but this one stands out the most! It doesn’t have the quirkiest design but everything about it works & that’s what I love about it - the whole package. The packaging is definitely very different from the usual maple syrup packaging (which, as mentioned in this feature, is often tacky). The idea of using plain, simple text instead of cheesy, clichéd graphics or photos is great, especially since the text is so well-written - informative, creative & subtly humorous without being at all pretentious. And the dropper? Pure class. Nicely done.

yes, this is very nice, but am i the only one who thinks this looks like a rip-off of perricone md? Right down to the colourways and photography.
