“The wooden box contains a short animation entirely designed by Zina Caramelo during 2013. This animation was developed over a period of 9 months through a long process of creating versus destruction. The medium used was a single wooden plank on which reinvented/unrolled all visual and poetic discourse, using multiple techniques. This life cycle ended up in a box, whose construction involved two distinct phases: one mechanical and other manual.  The first stage – mechanical , involves the cutting and laser printing (1 hour and a 30 minutes), getting 6 different pieces. The second and last stage — the manual one, passed by the processing of collage techniques of the 6 pieces, drying (2 days) and sandpaper finish (30 minutes) to create the final drive. Each box is unique.”

“Bottle and 4 pack design for a premium Belgian beer. The aim was to differentiate the brand and packaging from other Belgian beers.

ZEGE is Dutch for victory. This premium Belgian beer was made to reminisce King Leopold’s triumph. The labels were designed to resemble a medal and the black bottle adds a strong and elegant look to the brand.

The labels were printed in cotton and sewn together. The wax seals were 3d printed using resin as the material.

The four pack design reflects the king’s chair with the quote laser printed on the wood: “Goûter à La Victoire” which means ‘Taste the victory’.”

“I designed this piece as a Christmas present for my girlfriend. The packaging was created from one piece of cardboard and stitched together with a thread. No glue used at all.

The artwork was inspired by our favorite song ‘The Trapeze Swinger’. In the last couple of lines Sam Beam describes a scene with a monkey, a man, a marching band, an angel kissing on a sinner… and so on.”

“A new design was created with a handcrafted, simple, and vintage feel to represent the brewery. All elements of the packaging were then completely re-designed, combining the new logo with unique illustrations and beautiful colours that would really pop on shelves. In addition the IPA was re-branded, introducing Mad Tom as a character that would add personality to the flavourful product.”

“Branding and design for the Golan Brewery. The Golan Brewery was launched as a joint venture by the Ohayon family and the Golan Heights Winery. Located in Katzrin, the brewery produces beer of an international caliber. In our search for a design concept, we engaged in a dialogue between the local and the sophisticated, the masculine and the liberated, and the rugged and the cultured.”

“The CD package may be on the decline but that decline also creates an opportunity to stand out. For their new EP, Rabbit Children wanted to create a package that could be used as both a self promotion tool and appeal to their fan base. The limited edition letterpress printed package, which includes an insert with illustrations inspired by the band’s lyrics, was sent to music journalists and bloggers, radio stations and concert promoters. The packaging helped create awareness for the new release by standing out from the generic CD comps and digital download codes typically sent by most labels.”

Brief: Create a sophisticated identity and packaging that reflect The Bitter Chocolatier’s luxury offering and ironic humour.

Solution: The brand has an edge. The elegant look contrasts sharply with its ironic humour. Poking fun at himself, The Bitter Chocolatier tells his tales of misfortune throughout his life through the different flavours. The product differentiates itself from other brands while entertaining the consumer.”
